How to connect the ARKA drive

You can connect ARKA as a network drive. Files download only when you open them. There is no automatic sync of the whole drive, so the server load stays similar to working in the browser.

Sign in with your email and an app password from My account → Security → App passwords. The main password and 2FA are not used over WebDAV. You can revoke the password at any time.

Windows

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. This PC → Map network drive.
  3. Folder: https://arkadrive.com/dav
  4. Tick “Connect using different credentials”.
  5. Username – your email. Password – the app password, not the account one.

Mac

  1. Finder → Go → Connect to Server.
  2. Address: https://arkadrive.com/dav
  3. Username – email. Password – the app password.

You only see the folders you see in the browser. Deleted files go to the ARKA trash. Overwriting a file on Standard and higher plans saves a new version. Word and Excel files are locked so two people cannot overwrite them at once. The lock lifts after 30 minutes of inactivity.

A large file is uploaded in parts of at most 90 MB. WebDAV is included in Standard, Premium and Essential. It is not in Starter.
